Consumer Health Action Network

The Consumer Health Action Network has over a thousand members, individuals and organizations, working for access to quality, affordable health care for every Connecticut resident. The Network is staffed by the Connecticut Health Policy Project. We offer a helpline to answer questions and help anyone access health care. Our services are free, private and available to anyone in Connecticut. We can help with getting coverage, applications for assistance, insurance questions, keeping bills down, and information on where to get health care services in Connecticut.

We also help give consumers a voice. Policymakers hear from HMOs, doctors, hospitals, employers, and lobbyists. The one voice they rarely hear is consumers. The Consumer Health Action Network was created to support and organize consumers in getting their voices heard. The Network is staffed by the Connecticut Health Policy Project. We are paid professionals, students and volunteers who work for Network members. We provide consumers with assistance, training and support in advocacy on their issues. Consumers define our agenda.
