We at the Connecticut Health Policy Project want to thank you for joining us tonight to celebrate our fifth anniversary and for all your support over the years. It is a luxury to be able to stop for a moment, consider our progress, and acknowledge our successes.
We are lucky that we work on an issue that virtually everyone supports -- to improve access to affordable, quality health care for every Connecticut resident. The problem has always been how to achieve that goal. Health care can be complex and costly. Our work has focused on providing both policymakers and consumers with solid, reliable information about policy options and the realities of how those policies actually work. In that, we have a great deal to be proud of.
We are also very lucky to work with dedicated collaborators, both inside and outside government, enlightened funders, and brave consumers willing to share their lives and their energies with us to improve health care for everyone. Alone we could accomplish nothing.
So enjoy the great music, wonderful desserts and devoted friends – you have an evening to rest on your laurels. Tomorrow it is back to work.
